Great Weekend!!

So this weekend was awesome! Johnny went back to school this week, and he survived, but was in need of some reebs and wings, so we started out at Hooters on Friday night with our dear friends Brian and Kelly...Holler!!! Grandma had Joey, and it was fun to go out and eat wings and drink some reebs without the baby! After that we ventured to the PGA store. If you have never made it to this place, you have to go! It is so much fun to just walk around and putt, chip or even hit drivers! Not a golfer? There is a full sized tennis court inside too! We went and picked up Joes, headed home and fell fast asleep!!

Saturday was great too! Joey let us sleep in till 8:30 which was nice! Thanks Joey :) We got up, made some cinnamon rolls, then got on the bikes to head to the church. I had Christmas Festival tryouts, and while I was singing, Joey and Johnny played on the new toddler playground at church. I came out to join them when I was done. The playground is awesome, and just the right size for Joey! She can go down all the slides on her own because they aren't too slick! Here is a picture of her playing in a little play house they have a the park too!

We rode home and took a nap! Joey slept about 3 hours, and Johnny and I slept about 2 :) It was great! We woke up and ate some lunch, then headed to the new splash park in town. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but it was fun, and Joey had a blast! We even ran into our friend Kelly and his kiddos Carter and Hannah! Here are some pics of Joey and Johnny enjoying the splash park...

We got home ate dinner and put Joey to bed! I have been on a brownie kick this summer, so I made some of those! YUM!!!

Today we woke up, went to church (awesome message Rafe...always hits you right where it counts :), came home, took a nap, went to Stonebriar to check out the new Apple store (it's awesome), came home, and lastly went to Fuddruckers! Phew...that was a lot :) Here is a pic of Joey enjoying her fries dipped in ketsup! She insisted on dipping them herself, and she did a pretty good job!

So that's it for now! What a great weekend..we didn't have to be anywhere, didn't have to do anything! We thank God for these weekends, as they are few and far between these days!

The Results Are In!!!!!!

So a couple of weeks ago I wrote about Joey's 15 month check up. If you didn't read about that, click here to get caught up. I got the call from our doctor today and Joey does not have Turner's Syndrome! I was so convinced that she did have it that I didn't really know what to say when they said her test came out normal. I actually asked for a second opinion on reading the test results. The second result reading was the same! Anyway, just wanted to update everyone!

A Tale of Two Poopies :)

FYI, this story may be too much for some people, so if you do not like potty humor, DO NOT READ :)

Consider yourself warned!

So tonight Joey was downstairs and started tooting A LOT!! I looked at her and asked her if she wanted to go poopy in the potty, and she nodded her head "yes" (she has gone in the potty before, but only if she is in the bath and we realize that she is making the poopy face, and we stick her on the potty)! Back to Joey nodding yes....I said ok, and off we went to the big girl potty! Anyway, we got upstairs and took off her diaper and she pooped in the potty (we bought her a kiddie seat for the big potty a couple of nights ago)! Her favorite part was scrunching up her nose and grunting to push! I didn't know how else to show her, so this is our method :) So after that she got a bath as part of our usual nightly routine. Johnny put her in a diaper and we ended up playing with some toys and folding some laundry before bed time! So we were playing and then she started to tug at her diaper and walking to the bathroom. I asked her if she wanted to go potty, and she nodded her head "yes"! So on the off chance that this would work, I took off her diaper and put her on the potty....the kid did it again! She totally pooped in the potty twice within 1 hour! Here is a picture that her proud daddy took of her :)

For the record, this could be a fluke, but for this night, our 15 month old daughter is stinkin smart and goes poopy in the potty! Super funny, and she is going to hate us for posting these pics when she is 15 and old enough to realize that we did post pics of her on the potty!! Go Joey go!!!

Test Results and more!

So some of you have been asking about Joey's test results. We got a call on Friday saying that they forgot to submit the test for Turner's Syndrome :( We asked if Joey would have to come in and get more blood drawn and they said "no". We were told we would know something by Tuesday because they were just going to take the blood they already had and retest the chromosomes for TS. I called today since we hadn't heard anything and now they are saying it will be a couple of weeks till we find out. So until then, we will just wait and update you when we know something different!

On a different note, Joey started back to Miss Holli's this week! Who is Miss Holli you ask?? She is our amazing babysitter. She is so great to the kids that she watches! She is so patient, loving and generous...we just love her! Here is a picture of the first day Holli had her last August..Joey has gotten so big since then.

Johnny has been taking her this week so I don't have a current picture of the 2 of them, but I will get one next Monday and post it stat! We love you Holli and missed you this Summer! PS, Holli makes the BEST cakes, so if you are in need of a good one, just let me know and I will let her know!

In the mean time, here is a picture of how big she is now :) She wants daddy's cereal!

Car Trouble :(

So my car has been acting weird since we got Joey's blood taken last Friday. We took it to NTB to get a long over due oil change, and it was still acting funny. We got it in to Carmax Monday and it was ready to be picked up today! We took a detour on the way to pick up my car and headed to Willowbend mall where there is an Apple store :) It was crazy busy, so we didn't get anything or talk to anyone. We ended up heading to the food court for some grilled cheese sandwiches. After that we let Joey play on the playground. She loved it! Here are a few pics.....

The Hot sauce lid :) The playground has a food theme!

How bout some steak??

Oops, sliding down the plate!

Trying to get into the spoon...

This is how daddy likes his eggs...yuck!
Well, once we were done, we got my car, and it is running like new! I had to get some coil thingy and a tune up! All in all, a great day for the Stouts!

Joey's 15 month check up

Hi everyone, here we are again. A few months have gone by and another well visit has come and gone! Joey has gone up in her percentiles from her 1 year check up...if you feel the need to compare, here is the 1 year post. Her weight is 19.11 lbs (6th percentile), her Height is 29 inches (9th percentile), and her head circumference is 18 inches (41st percentile). The doctor says that she is growing right along and doing the things she should be doing!

The doctor was a little concerned about a few things. She thinks that Joey is showing some signs of Turner's Syndrome so we have to take Joey for some chromosome testing. This means that we have to get her blood drawn so that they can test it for TS. So, Johnny took her to get blood drawn today after her nap. They stuck her in both arms, and she wouldn't bleed :( They said this is normal, and we have to come back tomorrow or Friday to try again! So we shall see! Just so ya'll know, Johnny and I aren't worried about this possible diagnosis. My sister-in-law has Turner's Syndrome. She is an awesome woman who is recently married and living life normally! I know it can seem scarey when they throw words like syndrome and symptoms around, but we have faith in our Lord that he won't give us or Joey anything beyond what we can handle, even if that means her having TS! He is her maker and knows better than any of us how to take care of Joey, so we are letting Him guide us! We will keep ya'll updated, but in the mean time, here are some pictures of our little cutie!!

Just like mommy, her pants are too long :)

Here she is chillin in the garage :) She's got her pink chair and her phone, what else do you need??

Johnny says in this one all she needs now is a cool beverage :)
