Jiggle No More!!!

So the other day I was in the car with my buddy Akirb and we went over a few bumps and I was jiggling :(  Literally my legs did a wave action that I had never seen on my body before.....gross!  I decided it is time to buckle down...I'm not birthing anymore children and it's been 4 months since Sammy came.  I'm tired of looking preggo, so yesterday Johnny and I started P90X!

LET'S DO THIS!!!!!!
{I will post before pictures once I have an after picture that I'm excited about....in about 90 days I guess :]}

Threads of Gratitude...What Are Yours??

So Sammy is over 3 months old and it's time to get back into gear with the whole blogging thing :)  It started this week with my "Books For Joey....." post, and now I'm back to the Threads of Gratitude! This idea was given to me by a friend from church named Tamra.  It's a great idea and I love thinking of these each week.  So often God's blessings go unnoticed in our busy world.  I'm trying to take notice, and so should you!!!

It's all about what God has given us, not what we "earned", but what we have been blessed with!  Here goes...

Dear Father, I am so thankful for my daughter Joey.  She is such a blessing to our family.  She makes me laugh, makes me want to pull out my hair, and makes me aware of your creativity.  Even in her terrible 2's, she is your amazing creation, and I have so much love for her it's unreal!!

God on high, I love my sweet Sammy so much.  She is an amazing baby, and truly a gift from you!  I am amazed at her journey so far, and thank you for bringing her out of the ICU at 9 days old and developing her into this happy, healthy baby who kicks, waves her arms, and smiles from ear to ear when she sees me, Johnny or Joey!  I didn't know if I'd have enough love for two babies, but your provision is amazing and you have made room in my heart for this sweet girl!

Lord, thank you so much for my husband Johnny who cooks, cleans, takes care of our children, and more! He has always been the biggest help and a true partner in raising our girls and does way more than a lot of dad's do! I love this guy and I thank you for choosing him for me and our daughters!

And that's it for today!  I went with a family theme I suppose :)  What are you thankful for?  You can either leave your thoughts in the comment section or write your own blog on the same topic then put your link in the comment section! I'd love to know that I'm not the only one thanking our Lord today!!!

Books For Joey....

So we are slowly getting back into the groove of things here at the Stout house.  I actually took Joey to the library today for the first time in about {how old is Sam???  Oh yeah...} 3 and a half months!  I think we got some good books for our little lady....here goes!

{Joey loves Belinda books!  We had to go with this one :]}

{This cover just looked so cute, and I didn't even notice till we got home that the words coming out of her megaphone are "I'm a big sister".  This should be a cute one}

{She loves If you give a mouse a cookie, so I thought we'd give this one a try!!  Oh and I didn't realize it was Christmas-y, but that totally works for us seeing as how I have already started singing her Christmas Carols because if I have to sing "Happy and You Know It" one more time, I won't be clapping my hands :]}

{ditto minus the Christmas-y thing}

{Joey loves bubbles, and this little girl looks so cute!!}

{We've had this one before and loved it!!!}

{These books are so cute...we've never read this one, but I'm sure it's going to be great!!}

{Last but not least, we got this Jamie Lee Curtis book.  She has great children's books!!!}

And that's it!  I hope Joey likes all her new books for the next 2 weeks......then they go back and new ones come home!  Let me know if you have any suggestions :)

The Step....

So just the other day I posted a cute picture of Joey singing on "the step".  I remember that day and I just love that she is loving singing!!! We all remember this video of her singing.....

Ahhhhhh, I still melt when I watch this and no matter how cute it is, unfortunately the step is used more for moments such as these.....

that's right folks, Joey's stage doubles are our "time out" spot.

Why would I post this you ask??  Well, Joey is perfect for everyone else.  She never throws fits, she is a helpful cleaner, she sings cute songs and acts like a little angel for the public...for us however, she screams, throws herself to the ground, tells us "I don't have to", and "NO".  I just wanted to document all these super fun terrible 2 moments that no one believes Joey has :)

I feel so mean posting this...we love our sweet girl and she doesn't do this all the time, but it's a part of our reality these days :)

OK, I don't feel that bad...and that's why I'm posting a video too :)

Sam Stunting....

Sam is well on her way to a future in cheerleading!!!  Here's the proof.....

Her sister did the same thing at her age :)  They are both short, so maybe they will be flyers like their mommy.....or maybe they won't do cheerleading at all? :(

When Joey Grows Up

I often look at Jo and wonder what she will be when she grows up.  She's shown an interest in many things, and as I see it, here are her options thus far.....

{a professional gymnast}

{a maid}

{a chef}

{she could star in one of those "survivor" shows}

{artist}

{WNBA}

{fasionista...she could get paid to write a blog about all the upcoming trend including the "wearing every bow you own" trend}

{my preference...a singer}

As you can see, our daughter has many talents and will have a lot to choose from when she grows up!  In all seriousness though, I really can't wait to see how God forms her talents and see who he makes her to be!  We will love her not matter what she does in the long run {ehem..sing}...did I say that out loud?? :)

LOL :)

So the other day, we were watching some TV and I was unloading the dishwasher...I looked over to see Joey climbing up on the couch.  She grabbed the Boppy Pillow, a blanket and her baby and began to "feed" her :)  I was able to catch it on camera!!!  I love this kid.....and I'm sure she will kill me for these priceless shots later in life :)

{Praise God, she latched :]} LOL!!!

I love my little Joey and she's going to make a good mommy one day :)

3 Months Old :)

"I'm 3 months old....na na na na boo boo!"

So Sammy is officially 3 months old and is doing great!  She loves to lay on her back and smile up at whoever will make googley faces at her!  She smiles, she kicks a lot, and she's talking.  We've been using her Bumbo seat to help her strengthen her neck muscles while she also works on sitting up.  It's fun, but it really tires her out.  How about the rolling over??  Well, for some reason she's decided she doesn't want to do that anymore, and she hasn't for a couple of weeks now??  Not sure why, maybe she's stubborn like her daddy and me??  Oh well, we will see......One HUGE thing Sam's been up to is sleeping through the night!!!! She's been doing this for about 3 weeks now and it's really nice to go to bed and not have to wake up in the middle of the night!  I was going to post something about it earlier, but I didn't want to jinx it!

I know everyone has been waiting to find out the results from Sam's genetic testing, and so have we!  Well, yesterday we were getting ready for my grandfather's funeral {this is another post all together} and we got a call from Sam's pediatrician.  Sam does NOT have Noonan's Disease!  Great news on a not so great day!

No doctor's appointment till month 4, so I think that's it....I'll leave you with some pictures of her trying to stay sitting....

Have a good one :]
